Hundreds of seniors packed Centennial High School’s Performing Arts Center for the UC Achieve event that was held on November 7th. UC Achieve is a system-wide program designed to encourage students to go to college, the program entails the adoption of an area high school to host the event, and this year, Centennial High School was selected as the Inland Empire high school to represent UC Riverside for their Achieve UC campaign. This campaign, which comes out of the UC Office of the President focuses on making students and parents aware of the university system. Chancellor Kim Wilcox, Vice Chancellor James Sandoval, Superintendent Michael Lin, and members of CNUSD’s cabinet were in attendance for this special event. Students not only had the opportunity to hear from UC Riverside’s Chancellor but also had the unique opportunity to meet with UCR’s admissions advisors to retrieve valuable tips about applying for college.
